My parents got our first cat when I was around 9 or 10 years old, a black and white moggy called Felix. I myself have been owned by cats for a lot of years, but we are very new to pedigree cats and the breeding and showing of them. All my cats are indoor cats with the exception of Cleo, they all have access to an outdoor run which allows them to feel the sunshine and the wind and breathe fresh air while keeping them safe, it also allows me to open my doors and window and blow the cobwebs away.

Neil and I have been married since 1987, we met in Helensburgh, Scotland when we both served in the Royal Navy and we lived there until our daughter made her appearance a couple of years later.

We got our first two cats Charlie a black moggy and Blue a blue coloured cat who was abandoned in the woods near our home and brought to us when we lived in Helensburgh.

We moved back to England and my home town when our daughter was born to provide a stable home life as opposed to an unstable one moving from base to base with Neil, Alex our son made his appearance 5 years later.

The Ashjolex prefix is registered with the G.C.C.F. and is made up of my son's name, my name and my daughter's name, and we will hopefully have kittens early next year that will carry my prefix. I am very lucky that my husband and children love and enjoy the cats as much as I do, my son is that interested he will be showing Mouse very soon and loves to come to the shows with me.
